on a market trip

mommy and daddy wanted to go for a shopping at the FairPrice Supermarket. i thought i could stay at home and let the adults do what they needed to do. besides, there was no purpose of me being there. i couldn’t lend them a hand to carry things. it was I who needed to be carried around. 🙂 anyway, i didn’t get to stay behind. of course.

i saw them getting ready. the trolley (for putting things in), the shopping list (that was the first time i saw mommy wrote what she needed to buy…she has never done that before!) and of course, the sling in which i would be carried in. and right before we stepped out of the house, daddy fed me.

dsc00540and  there i was, in the sling, looking so moody. no no. not feeling bad at all. it’s just that the milk has sunk in and it made me feel so full and contented that i just wanted to sleep. and that sling was the most comfy thing mommy introduced to me. i’m just one lucky baby, i guess 🙂

dsc00542see what i told ya? i was too comfy in there that i started to feel sleepy long before we reached the supermarket. listening to the parents talking was boring because…psst…i couldn’t understand a thing. mommy and daddy parted, searched high and low for stuffs that they wrote on that list. they have frequented that place so many times but still mommy couldn’t find that chilli paste. tsk tsk tsk.

lucky for her, one of the salesperson was around. mommy asked her and she pointed to the aisle. mommy was happy so she scurried down to Aisle 2. but still she couldn’t find. i thought of yelling for daddy to come and help us but i didn’t even know how to talk yet! sheesshhh.

anyway, to make it short, mommy finally found the chilli paste. daddy caught up with us and he got a lot of things in the trolley. we went to the checkout counter and daddy didn’t use any money to pay. somehow he managed to coax that lady behind the counter to take his card. so that lady did and she just punched some buttons on the screen, and a white paper came rolling out, she handed them to daddy and that was it! how did daddy do that? when i grow up, i’m gonna make a beautiful pink card with a lot of pretty flowers and use it when making payment. that will do 🙂

dsc00545uh huh…i told ya, i was very sleepy. so i slept on the way back home. i know i have mentioned this but just let me say it again. sitting in the sling with my mommy ever so close to me, indeed was the best thing in my life. mommy’s warmth just melted me in her arms. let’s do this again!!!
