The Walk

she has been requesting us to hold her hand so that she can walk. we, of course, obligingly fulfil her requests. much improvements i have seen in her and honestly i feel happy and satisfied.

i didn’t understand what her teacher meant by “she’s a very determined child” until i saw what she had in her. i’m always overly exhausted but if it’s for a better good, why not?

now she doesn’t wanna crawl, let us carry her or sit in the pram. she wants to walk…not on her own but with us holding her little hand. i tried carrying her, refusing her request, she screamed at the top of her lungs.

we brought her to Tanjong Pagar Railway Station on friday, for lunch and for some sightseeing, before the whole place turned into a heritage centre. she loved trains so i thought we showed her the other kind of train that will soon be out of sight here. unless we bring her to Woodlands Checkpoint, where it would be next.

she, as usual, wanted to walk all the way in there. to see the train, to walk into the eatery and even while crossing the road. which of course, we didn’t allow it. her walking is not as speedy and stable as a normal kid would. we scooped her up and she yelled and screamed!!!

patience, little girl, patience! i’ll sure to let you run free once you’re an independent walker. but now, smile for me please?
